Diary of a Mad Black Werewolf
Mature content.. Enjoy this review of Diary of a Mad Black Werewolf. Well written, illustrated story by Micheline Hess. She's New Yorker and has penned a surprising comic we adults can relate to. Buy the book on michmashart.com
Comics Commentary: No Sympathetic Villains!
This is a brief commentary on VILLAINS and a sorta reaction to DC's Joker movie. In Black indie comics I review, there is a clear distinction between good and evil, heroes and villains. White comic publishers like Marvel and DC are blurring those moral lines. I wanted to talk about why this is an important issue.
Southside (mature) action comic
Another interesting book from Advent comics. A local vigilante fighting his way to solve multiple murders. Dalton Malone is a mashup of Marvel Wolverine's temperament and the tactics of the Punisher.
Tuskegee Heirs - Young Pilots and Gundams!
Tuskegee Heirs is inspired by the real life 332nd Squadron from Tuskegee. Tuskegee Airmen organizations such as the 99th, 100th, 301st, and 302nd Fighter Squadrons that were assigned to the 332nd Fighter Group during World War II, which escorted American B-17 and B-24 bombers over Nazi targets in central Europe, its pilots flying red-tailed P-51 Mustangs. This is a great comic series for all ages. Wonderful to cultivate a love of reading with the children in your family. Get them off those smartphone and video game consoles. Bounce, Intellectual Punches to Your Funnybone!
Bounce TopShelf Hits -- This is one of the funniest, smartest comics I've ever read. The setting is a bar in downtown in New York City. The main character, Bounce, is a bit of a philosopher, so is he co-worker, a woman bouncer named Yemeya. They kick plenty of ass too. The gist is all these drunk crazy people come into the bar with all kinds of problems. .. and the bouncers have to set them straight. Funny as hell. You can get the digital comic here: https://gumroad.com/l/BounceTSH
